Another Day, Another Dead Game

Refereeing in this league man. One of the worst performances I have seen. Clear reds getting downgraded to yellows even after VAR. How can you be so blind? The tackle on Garnacho with both feet up on his shin was a straight red every day of the week. But no. And it wasn’t just that one. There were multiple fouls that didn’t even get whistled.
I feel like a robot at this point. Saying the same thing again and again. Premier League doesn’t matter. Watching it is getting boring. Amorim couldn’t even rest players for this one because we needed some sharpness with a week gap before Bilbao. But honestly, the players didn’t even look that sharp. It’s not just us fans. The players look done with the league too. Garnacho posting “Thursday, Thursday” right after the game says it all. We’re focused only on Europa now. Sad reality but it is what it is.
Shaw played a full 90. Honestly surprised he didn’t pull up injured midway. United fans overhyping Luke Shaw again is just funny to me. Decent player but what’s the point if he can’t stay fit for three gameweeks straight. Bruno was trying to make stuff happen. Probably the best United player today, and even then, it wasn’t a classic Bruno performance. Just shows how bad the rest were.
Second Half Reaction but Same Problems
Garnacho had a few moments, but it’s the same old issue. Finishing. End product. It’s not enough. We dominated the second half especially after Evanilson’s red card. We were camped around their penalty box for long periods. It felt like we deserved a win. Bournemouth had one shot on target but somehow hit the post twice. We had six shots on target and still couldn’t bury them.
We had the chances but not clinical enough. Story of the season. Dominating stats means nothing if no one puts the ball in the net.
Rasmus scored late on. Happy for him honestly. He needed that badly. But then he goes and posts “We wanted the win, but I needed that” right after. Look, I won’t be too critical because he’s young, but sometimes you gotta read the room. Celebrate internally. Focus on Bilbao. Not everything needs to go on Instagram immediately. Just my take.
Manager Talk and What’s Next
Some fans are starting to question Amorim already. I don’t think it’s fair yet. His xG numbers have been good. Players are underperforming massively in front of goal. He’s doing the best with what he has. No killer striker. No depth. Injuries left and right. And he still got us competitive in Europe.
Anyway, countdown is on. Thursday against Bilbao is huge. First leg away. If we handle that properly, we can bring it back to Old Trafford and maybe get a semi-final European night. I hope the boys step up. I really want to be there for that return leg.
See you after Thursday. Fingers crossed.
